Terms
a)
Booking
As all tours require a
minimum but also cannot exceed a maximum number of participants, we
suggest that you book as early as possible. Your booking becomes valid
when a deposit of 20% of the tour price has been paid.
b)
Cancellation
If you need to cancel your
booking the following fees will apply
Up to 3 months prior
to departure $ 50.—
Up to 1 month prior to departure $ 200.—
Up to 10 days prior to departure full deposit
Less than 10 days prior to departure 80% of tour price
If TOM’S RAIL TRAVEL has to
cancel a tour, the entire deposit will be refunded.
c)
Payment
20% of the tour price must
be paid as a deposit when you receive the booking confirmation.
The remaining 80% is to be paid not later than ten days before departure.
Payments can be made to a BANK OF AMERICA account in the United States.
Details will be communicated with the booking confirmation.
d)
Trading Conditions
Whilst TOM’S RAIL TRAVEL
sells the tour at a ‘lump-sum’ price (which can be itemized upon request)
it does not act as packaged-tour operator. It acts solely as agent between
carriers, hotels, other service-providers and tour participants. Thus,
the formers’ trading conditions and limited liabilities apply. TOM’S RAIL
TRAVEL cannot accept liability for delays, loss or damaged luggage,
personal injuries, illness, etc. . We highly recommend that
tour-participants take out appropriate insurance coverage.
e)
Insurance
TOM’S RAIL TRAVEL does not
automatically cover travel insurance. Upon special request we can of
course assist in arranging appropriate insurance coverage to be charged to
the participant separately.
f)
Applicable law
All dealings are based on
Swiss law. Place of jurisdiction is Zurich/Switzerland
